To mark Universal Health Coverage Day, Resolve Global Health has released a special report, The Path to Universal Health Coverage, addressing a critical question: How can we ensure equitable access to essential health services for all by 2030?

In this report, Access Accelerated’s Director, Herb Riband, contributes an insightful op-ed that examines two critical gaps hindering progress on Universal Health Coverage: noncommunicable diseases and sustainable financing. Herb explores how these gaps can be addressed and stresses the importance of keeping NCDs central to UHC efforts.

The report also features powerful stories from the field—across countries like Bangladesh, Kenya, Vietnam, and more—along with insights from global health leaders. It highlights the progress made and uncovers opportunities to advance toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goal of health for all.
