Since its inception, Access Accelerated has championed collaboration—bringing together global health partners, member companies, and institutions like the World Bank to address the growing burden of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) in low- and middle-income countries. As the global health landscape continues to evolve, our focus has sharpened on one of the most critical challenges to sustainable care: financing.

A year ago, this commitment led to the creation of the Financing Accelerator Network for NCDs (FAN)—launched through the renewed technical partnership with the World Bank, with Results for Development as Global Network Manager and AFIDEP hosting the regional accelerator in Sub-Saharan Africa.

In its first year, FAN has worked alongside countries supporting leaders and stakeholders to set priorities and strengthen their investment in NCDs. Looking ahead, FAN will extend its reach to Latin America, the Caribbean, and Asia Pacific, while its catalytic seed grants will help countries pilot new approaches to close funding gaps.

As FAN enters its second year, Access Accelerated is deepening its efforts to drive lasting solutions for sustainable health financing. By investing in the systems that sustain care, we’re helping countries ensure that people living with and at risk of NCDs have access to the services they need—today and into the future.
