A new article in Globalization and Health examines how Access Accelerated put collaboration at the center of its work to address noncommunicable diseases in low- and middle-income countries.

From the start, the Access Accelerated brought the biopharmaceutical industry together in a coordinated effort and partnered across traditional boundaries — linking multilateral agencies, NGOs, governments, and industry partners. The initiative emphasized that breaking silos and building trust requires long-term commitment and coordinated action.

The article outlines how this approach took shape through partnerships with City Cancer Challenge (C/Can), NCD Alliance, PATH, The World Bank, and the World Heart Federation in Colombia, Ghana, Kenya, and Vietnam.
