On December 18, with support from PATH and Access Accelerated, stewardship of the NCD Navigator’s digital information system was formally transferred to the Ghana Health Service’s NCD Control Programme—reinforcing national leadership in the use of data to address noncommunicable diseases (NCDs).

Developed in close partnership with the Ghana Health Service, the NCD Navigator is an innovative, web-based platform that brings together real-time data on NCD programs nationwide. The system has already informed key resource allocation discussions, including those underpinning Ghana’s NCD national strategy and policy in 2022, and continues to strengthen coordination among government and partners.

By enabling clearer visibility of ongoing initiatives, the Navigator supports evidence-based decision-making, helps reduce duplication, and directs resources to areas of greatest need. The handover secures the platform’s long-term use as a planning and coordination tool—supporting more effective and equitable NCD services across Ghana.
