Access Today: Combatting the Silent Pandemic
While COVID-19 was at the forefront of everyone’s minds over the past year, the distribution of effective vaccines has allowed for many countries to start reopening and begin the process of getting back to “normal”. But while a potential end is in sight for COVID-19, there is none for the silent pandemic: non-communicable diseases. The most recent global health crisis disproportionately impacted those living with NCDs and shined a light on healthcare systems that were not strong enough to combat COVID-19 and manage NCDs.
As the world continues to move into a new phase of the COVID-19 health crisis, Access Accelerated’s member companies and partners continue to find solutions and develop strategies to combat NCDs.
