On 25 September 2025, Heads of State and Government will gather in New York during the UN General Assembly (UNGA) for the fourth UN High-level Meeting (HLM) on the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and the promotion of mental health and wellbeing.
This will be the first HLM on NCDs since 2018, and it comes at a decisive moment—just five years before the 2030 deadline for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The meeting takes place against a backdrop of increasing financial pressures, shrinking external development assistance, and a continually rising burden of NCDs worldwide.
Access Accelerated will contribute to these discussions by convening and joining events and bringing country insights.
