“Universal health coverage is an excellent investment of our resources.”

On December 12, the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA) and Access Accelerated hosted a side event at the 2017 Universal Health Coverage Forum in Tokyo. The two-hour event, “Accelerating Sustainable UHC by Improving Access to NCD Care,” explored the power collaboration between the public and private sectors has to accelerate access to NCD care and help achieve Universal Health Coverage.
During the United Nations General Assembly week, join Access Accelerated for an exclusive, thought-provoking forum addressing the growing burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Africa, Latin America and Asia. The event will feature an in-depth panel discussion with global leaders from public health, government and the biopharmaceutical industries on how the public and private sectors can come together to develop solutions that drive progress toward meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goal to reduce premature deaths from NCDs by one-third by 2030.
Guests will also have the opportunity to explore a marketplace of exhibits from current partner initiatives around the world, and meet other leaders in global health during a networking reception.
“Collaboration is absolutely fundamental to make NCDs a priority,” said Tim Evans of the World Bank yesterday at a special World Health Assembly event co- hosted by Access Accelerated and Paraguay’s Ministry of Health in Geneva, Switzerland.
